The following supply list is required for all 6th grade students, and strongly recommended for all 7th and 8th grade students
Additional supplies may be needed depending on the individual teacher.
These supplies must be brought to class daily:
• Two 3 ring binders
• Notebook dividers
• 200 sheets notebook paper (college rule)
• Blue, black and red pens (two each)
• Ruler
• Pencil pouch for writing utensils (inserted into notebook)
• Calculator
• Stanwood Middle School Planner (provided by the school)
• Pencil sharpener
• Three highlighters any color
• Composition notebook (6th, 7th, & 8th grade)
Recommended ~ Sno-Isle library card available at the Stanwood Library. Please have card made in student's name.
The following supplies should be brought and left in class:
• Colored pencils
• Glue sticks (two)
• Scissors
• Supply box (6th grade)
• Sticky notes 3” X 3”
• Twenty-four #2 pencils with erasers
7th and 8th Grade Math
• Compass (Geometry only)
• Protractor
• Graph Paper
• Scientific Calculator (Algebra/Geometry)-does not need to be graphic
• Composition notebook
*If special supplies are needed for a specific class, the teacher(s) will inform you the first week of the class.
FITNESS EDUCATION SUPPLIES
- T-shirts: Red, white or gray t-shirts-name clearly printed on the front of the shirt.
- Shorts: Red, black or gray
- Shoes: Closed toed lace up athletic shoes.
- Sweatpants and sweatshirts are acceptable.
- The t-shirt and shorts requirement may be purchased at “Eagle’s Nest” across the street from Stanwood Middle School.
7TH & 8th GRADE SCIENCE SUPPLIES
Students in 7th & 8th grade science will need the following supplies:
- two (2) thick black and white composition books which will be used as their journals to record experiments and notes.
- loose leaf paper, highlighters, graph paper, pens, pencils and colored pencils.

BAND SUPPLIES
• All band students need a hardback, 1 inch, 3-ring binder in black or white.
• All students need a pencil in class every day.
• Sixth grade students will be choosing their instruments during the first 2 weeks of school.
• Seventh grade students: “Essential Elements 2000”, Book 2 and your instrument.
• Eighth grade students: “Essential Techniques”, Book 3 and your instrument.
• We will be using SmartMusic this year as a supplement to the Essential Elements 2000 books. Information on purchasing a one year subscription at a discounted rate will be sent home during the first week of school.
• All students need concert attire as follows: Gentlemen: long sleeved, white dress shirt, black slacks, black socks, black shoes and a tie. Ladies: long sleeved white blouse, black skirt (knee length), black dress shoes and a scarf.
