Your Stanwood Chronicles: The town of Stanwood was located by the water by Twin City Foods and the town of East Stanwood was located by the railroad tracks. The Hall and Hall Railroad was established by John and Alice Hall to connect the two towns-they also operated the Stanwood Feed and Livery that provided carriage service and operated a streetcar. Sometimes students in Stanwood used the one mile H.& H. railroad to get to school.
