Spartans!  Our next Spirit Assembly is coming up on the 6th of February.  That means a grade level spirit trophy competition!  Sign ups for Red Light Green Light Scooter Style will be on February 5th.  Who will win this trophy competition??  6th Grade? 7th Grade? 8th Grade? Teachers?

Hey Spartans!  Are you collecting box tops?  If so, please turn them in to the school store or to Mrs. Diel by February 6th.  There will be a drawing for the winners of NEW FANTASTIC PRIZES that day.  We will also be sending in all box tops to redeem the cash for our school and it would benefit everyone in our school to get as much as possible.  Remember, box tops can be found on a lot of products bought at the grocery store.  For every five you turn in to the school store, you will receive a ticket for a chance to win new prizes!

Have you looked on the list outside the library to see if you have bought your yearbook?  The cost is $35.00.

Attention all students from the leadership class.  Remember to recycle Capri Sun pouches only.  No Minute Maid or other juice boxes.  Also a11 Nabisco snack packages can be recycled.  Thank you for your contribution.

Calling all SMS artists and writers!  The yearbook staff is in need of your talents.  Please submit a favorite drawing, artistic photo, or short piece of writing created by you by the end of January.

Include your name and grade on the back of the submitted piece of art.  If selected, your piece could be published in this year's annual!  Don't be shy - show off your talent and submit your favorite piece of art.  And... don't forget to buy your own piece of SMS history.

Only 400 yearbooks will be ordered this year.  With 620 students, 220 of you will not receive a yearbook in June.  Get yours now!  If you wait, you may be out of luck!  A list of all students who have purchase yearbooks is located in the foyer.  If your name isn't on it, get your order in soon!

Wrestlers, if you are interested in attending the high school wrestling match tomorrow; please sign up on the attendance sheet at lunch today and tomorrow for free admission.  JV starts at 5:45 & Varsity starts at 7:00.

There are 290 overdue books currently checked out from the school library!  Please check your due dates and return or renew your books as soon as possible.


CALLING ALL ACTORS! The spring play, RAMONA QUIMBY is auditioning next week! Get an audition packet in the office today and come join the FUN! Auditions are tomorrow at SMS in the choir room after school and on Wednesday at Pt. Susan.
